  1. Consider also: a. The Earth's magnetic field continues to weaken. This will allow more harmful cosmic radiation to reach the surface of this Earth, and us, including Russians. b. The Earth's magnetic North pole is currently heading towards Siberia, possibly the Earth's magnetic poles are going to flip as has occurred numerous times already in Earth's history. c. The 6th mass extinction event is probably underway due to Earth's magnetism issues. d. "IF" even 1 single satellite fails, especially a higher up satellite, due to harmful cosmic radiation, AND it crashes into only 1 other satellite up there, possibly a lower to Earth satellite, the debris field generated could wipe out more satellites, which could trigger a greater debris field, which could wipe out more satellites, and all the services those satellites provide.

  4.  @TankEnMate  And yet, even the ISS has been hit by debris in outer space. Because it's how orbital mechanics work. Also, ask Elon how many satellites he lost already due to the friction of the Earth's atmosphere dragging them down, or concerning the South Atlantic anomaly, or learn about harmful cosmic radiation, or how many satellites get 'lost' due to being where they were not supposed to be due to one reason or another.

  20.  @DuelScreen  As far as your 'worst case scenario' concerning the Earth: Modern science claims that the Sun when it becomes a red giant one day will wipe out all of life itself on this Earth if not even the entire Earth itself. Sure, a long time from now, but the destination is set like a way point on a journey. Hope you have a happy journey, but whether you do or not, the ending is the same.
