  1. Everyone was ragging on Japan's economy since the 90s, but our best glide path is for our economy to shrink as "gracefully" as Japan did, facing the same issues of declining population arising from a secular nihilistic emptiness. Don't think that will happen here in the US though.

  2. Kind of sort of theoretical good news, the world is less likely to be affected by resources shortage wars and environmental disaster with declining populations. The bad news? Everything whatifalthist mentioned.
