  1. 20th century was a cultural Golden Age. Also the literal medium itself sucks, you have vinyl snobs but its more, all of music playing and production was analog. Reminded of this as digital movies look much worse today with 4k than film.

  2. Obviously popular music has drastically declined, but kids are still making cool stuff in sub-genres like Hardbass and Reggaeton (the commercial stuff is as terrible as American commericial music) and house/techno is the same, probably because it never reached mass commercial appeal.
