  3. Rick, the 20th century was a cultural golden age, we are now in a dark age. People will look back on 20th century music/movies the way medieval peasants would have looked at the Roman Colleseum.

  4. Maybelle Carter started the American popular music golden age, so I guess it was from 1927-2000(ish). She's up there with Shakespeare and Cervantes as a cultural figure who defined their genre.
