  13. Dave, you are correct. Their fatality rate is very low. But even if it wasn't: Tuberculosis kills 1.6 million people every year, it is completely preventable, yet we do nothing about it. It would only cost 1 billion dollars to treat the entire globe for TB. Rich people actually don't care about poor countries, because it doesn't affect them. Most of the people in the comments (virtue signaling rich people) have not donated a single dollar of their income towards helping poor people. 3.1 million children die from malnutrition every year, and some people are perfectly okay with closing down the global economy to save a very small number of (rich) old sick people. *If you make an income of $34,000 American you are in the global one percent

  34. You might have a point but there has been zero convictions for the crime of genocide in Canada. There are many survivors it would be nice to see some kind of Justice or acknowledgement that there was actually a genocide. Like, the pope can't even apologize ffs. The Canadian genocide was whitewashed. The Catholic Church hasn't even apologized. ZERO people have been convicted. Power corrupts and ultimate power corrupts ultimately. I believe the church and state need to be held to some account. Zero convictions is ridiculous IMO. If I was a survivor, I would be 100% pissed also. The church is still yet to even acknowledge what happened. 80% of child abusers were abused children. Intergenerational suffering is very real. Vandalism vs. Genocide.... This is a vast under-reaction imo.
