However, just to be pedantic, you have to calculate in Kelvin, i.e., 900 C =1173 K and 2700 C = 2973 K, so the EV actually burns 2973/1173 = 2.5 times hotter. With such temperatures, though, the difference isn't all that noticeable, and your comment loses none of its force.
