  1.  @psycholuigiman  The Bible says there are many gods - but they are false gods. They include anything you are obsessed with, or anything you choose to habitually obey - anything you put in place of the real God Who created everything and to Whom you owe your true allegiance. If you live for money, money is your god. If you idolize a rock band and dress and act like them, they are your god. Secularism, humanism, atheism ... all reject the real God, and tell you to "follow your heart." That's what it means to become your own god. But what does the Bible say? Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" This means we have a natural tendency (since the fall of Adam & Eve) to do things that go against God's rules - and which are ultimately bad for us.
