@leemires5315 Popular music actually is degrading in quality. Beato himself has done a video on how it has, by objective measures, been losing complexity and dynamics over the past few decades. Of course, there are exceptions - but you have to look for them; innovative music is not in the top ten now, as it was in, say, the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
