@nomanejane5766 There are already laws against hate speech in Canada, and the entire Western world is moving towards all kinds of speech censorship, particularly against the alphabet crowd - and the US is no exception. And the danger of hate speech laws is creeping authoritarianism: the definition of "hate" will continually expand to include more and more things. You can already go to jail in England for "misgendering" someone - which, ironically, is correctly gendering them ... So, I was thinking maybe you were in a country that was not restricting speech - but no, per your reply to me, you're in America, and in the same boat as the rest of us.
