  1.  @halwarner6688  When people say what they think the Bible says, I appreciate at least one verse in support. Though there is nothing wrong with being wealthy per se (Jesus was supported by wealthy women; Luke 8:1-3), we are not to love money; that is the root of evil (1 Tim 6:7) and does not bring happiness (Eccl 5:10). Prosperity preaching is glorified materialism: the more I have, the closer I am to God; the more He loves me. Nonsense.
