Then you start reading the nitty gritty of the article and find out the person doctorate is in some bull shit like Medeval Literature, or the title of the degree ends with the word "Studies."

  10. @Univ Univeral: Are you sure you realty have a PhD in math? Anyone with such a doctorate degree would find a job anywhere without problem. Never heard of being a professor at a university? Research scientist? NSA? DARPA? Even a Bachelor of Science degree could get in the door at a national laboratory of the US Department of Energy.

  18. Not anymore. China has been doubling minimum wage every two years. It's now up to $225 a month. Added to the high cost of fuel, and lower value dollar, jobs are coming back to the Americas.

  20.  Catherine Hazur  Yes, once you have a license you can do what you want, but it takes years for that. By going corporate after university is very helpful because you are exposed to many different things in which enables you to learn, and work on more things than had you been alone. Makes you more valuable.
