  1. Agreed. Events have overtaken Parliament; they have MASSIVELY over-played their hand. When the election comes, it will be a blood-bath and ALL the nonsense will simply be undone - they used emergency legislation to block us, Boris can use emergency legislation to unblock it...

  2. Yep, it's David Cameron's fault - cucking to the Lib Dems and introducing the Fixed Term Parliament Act. Here's what our cousins need to understand: when a government can't get things done, normally, instead of having to wait for the next election (as in the US), they will put it back to the people - hold a General Election. The FTPA has fundamentally broken the system - it changed one small part of a finely balanced system, which has caused the whole thing to seize-up; not because fixed-terms are bad, but because the REST of the system isn't built to cope with them...
