  1. Yeah, sorry "they don't kill people" is a broken thought. Violence is violence is violence. The IRA would regularly call in bomb warnings to avoid mass-casualties because they knew it would make them look bad. ANTIFA knowingly and wilfully use violence and intimidation to further a political agenda. This is the textbook definition of terrorism and they deserve everything that's coming to them. "I swear... to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from enemies, both foreign and domestic..." Doesn't say "uphold". It's a shame that the Constitution needs to be skirted, but the US is already IN an existential crisis - you either temporarily suspend the Constitution in order to eliminate those whose only goal is to destroy it permanently or you fail in your duty. And don't come back with "a little liberty, a little security"; when your enemy uses YOUR rules against you, you don't have a choice, you must change the way you operate or LOSE. Let future historians complain about the "shameful abuses" - at least they'll be at liberty to do so! The emphasis needs to be on ensuring that changes are not permanent, that the Constitution continues to be enforced in spirit; that you remind those fighting ANTIFA why they're doing what they're doing and that they do not discard the Constitution entirely.
