There's a bit of a dip seasons 3 & 4, I think due to financial uncertainty, but 5 is BRILLIANT. Every episode so far has been gripping and incredibly well paced, perfectly balancing exposition, character and plot development!

@lllXavierllll Season 3 was rushed - because they were getting cancelled they CLEARLY had to cram 2 season's-worth together... The jump in time exactly halfway through is a dead giveaway. Real shame, as I think there was a whole chunk of character development that was missed (saved by good acting though). 4 felt really disjointed to me... Prior seasons always felt "connected by distance", whereas 4 was just 2 completely separate arcs, tenuously connected. The character development was good, but it didn't have same "fits together like a 4d jigsaw" of others...

@lllXavierllll Maybe so, but it's the sort of thing one would tend do between seasons, not midway through...

@Locutus.Borg. Agreed. It's rare to come across an antagonist with absolutely no redeeming qualities, without them being cartoonish. Though, I do have one criticism of season 5 - Marco's "grand plan" is stupid and would, logically, result in exactly one outcome: the complete extermination of the Belters. There are lines you don't cross, because once you do, the cry for vengeance would be too great; the fear of destruction so intense that fighting is the only course of action. Every man, woman and child in the belt would be killed and nobody on Earth would care... But apart from that, it's gripping ☺️

@Locutus.Borg. There's not a SINGLE moment when I thought "maybe he's right". Not one. Not even a hint. He is pure distilled evil; he is always wrong.

@Locutus.Borg. Do not underestimate people's thirst for revenge... Even a messed-up planet is INFINITELY better than "The Belt"...

@Locutus.Borg. Yeah, it felt a bit odd, the way that Mars completely collapsed after the war. Does feel like they're almost an irrelevance... Probably because there's never been a consistent insight into Martian leadership, unlike with Earth or the Belt. Shame, as that seemed to be there in the first season. Not my expertise, but I do vaguely remember something about Mars being more grey than red, once you're on the ground...
