No James, I want to be free. "Can't feed your kids with sovereignty". You never heard the saying "better to die on my feet than live on my knees"? How about this "the only way to feed my daughter is to sell her into sex-slavery. Not nice, by at least she won't be hungry". That is EXACTLY the kind of argument you are making you tool. All the arguments you are making are all the arguments ANYONE who had ever fought against independence would make. Ireland should not be independent, because... India should not be independent... Kenya... AMERICA... On and on and on. All these states that became independent and are doing okay. Australia and New Zealand, combined, have about HALF the population of the UK. They seem to be managing to be independent okay. You are utterly detached from reality, either because you've soaked-up too much propaganda or because you are a closet imperialist/colonialist. Look at the nations that were not independent, but now are. Christ, you only need to go back to '91 and the breakup of the Soviet Union to see that you CAN be independent and not just survive, but thrive!

@JSA 68 I think you've got wrong end here. UK, as a whole, can (and should) leave. N.I. is part of UK unless and until people of N.I. no longer want to be. All the talk of N.I. is 🏇💩. Leaving will be disruptive, obviously, but I remember Omagh and the feeling afterwards that people had had enough... Talk of going back is just madness; fear-mongering nonsense... On par with Cameron's "voting to leave will lead to WW3".

@JSA 68 sigh This is just all propaganda. Do you really think people will support a return to the Troubles? Your Isle of Wight comment just shows that you're a grief-stricken remainer who isn't willing to come to terms with the fact that you didn't get the result you wanted. It also shows your ignorance because, if anything, there would be a North/South split... That and it would be the remainers who would be "banished", because they are the minority. But then, you don't believe in democracy, right? So what does it matter to you, right? And before you say "people have changed their minds", THAT is EXACTLY the point. We had plenty of time to discuss the issues. There was propaganda from both sides. People had their say. You either accept the result or you are, explicitly, saying you no longer want to live in a democracy, because you have withdrawn your consent to abide by the will of the majority and are now simply looking for excuses to undo the result.
