  1.  Hale Hardy  It's literally, that "anyone who opposes the revolution is right-wing". Because Hitler opposed Stalin, he becomes right-wing... But only after 1941, when Barbarossa started. Before that, Nazis were left-wing. This is why they still cream themselves over China, even though they are LITERALLY copying Nazi policies of "state capitalism", concentration camps etc - all because they still call themselves Communists! Their religion cannot be challenged, even if it looks nothing like the their holy scriptures...

  3.  @BrotherAlpha  LOL, calling something a straw-man doesn't make it a straw-man. Until the initiation of Barbarossa, Germany and USSR had an alliance - the USSR invaded Eastern Poland at the same time Germany invaded the West. Communists in Britain were vehemently anti-war until 1941 for this reason. That's just an historical fact - like the 10s of millions of people who were murdered by Lenin and Stalin; far more than Hitler managed.

  5. There may be reasons, but they are never the motivation, it's always ideology. (Myself included; I hate all Socialists equally... I just don't get the chance to hate on National Socialists so much as there aren't that many in the West... And I don't speak Chinese.)

  9.  @TheImperatorKnight  Historically, yes. Contemporarily? There is only One True Socialism and that's Marxism, no? My point is that in policy and attitude the distinctions between a modern Marxist and a so-called Social Democrat is so small that it's a distinction without a difference; most people don't understand their ideology. I've got to the point where unless and until Marxism is purged there can be no meaningful dialogue, because the rest of us will be fighting a constant rearguard action against the insanity of the Marxists. Not a particularly inspiring position, but it is, I believe, the only realistic one.

Social Democracy is, as far as I can tell, a propaganda term used because Socialism has a (rightfully earned) bad reputation. You have Capitalism or you don't; I'm free to operate in the market or I'm not. You can have Capitalism with a social safety net, but that's not Social Democracy - that's Capitalism with a social safety net. As TIK points out, so much if Socialism/Marxism is obfuscation and lies intended to trick people into handing over power from one group of self-appointed elites to another, just like the pigs in Animal Farm. I'm also leery of anything with a plain meaning which is modified by the word "social". Social Justice - literally a synonym for Mob Rule. Social Care - society abandoning the elderly. Social Credit - state control of individual behaviour. Democracy, definitionally, is already "social", so adding the redundancy doesn't work for me.

The world was watching, he could have said whatever he wanted - not like his life was on the line - yet his defence never attacked the heart of the charge against him? I guess his defence team was just shit, because, it being 16 years after the end of the war, the lack of evidence for their existence would have been even more obvious, right? What about the contemporary accounts from Soviet soldiers? How about you attach your sense of self to something more credible... Like this theory I heard going around that the Earth is actually flat, not a sphere?
