  1. @lua-nya  Or, just get up/go to bed with the sun, which we've been doing our entire evolutionary history... Many businesses operate Summer and winter timetables anyway, so there's just no need to mess with the clocks.

  2. In the UK, DST was introduced in 1914 in order to stop people drinking and reducing factory output. See Defence of the Realm Act, 1914. No, I'm not making it up.
