  1.  @LukeTheTrader  Throw in "Children of Men" and you've got the 4 books of dystopian prophesy. They each explore different aspects of dystopia; different aspects of humanity. There's clearly a lot of overlap, but to say "one is happening without the others" is, in my opinion, a little on the naïve/short-sighted side (or maybe just wildly optimistic?) There is PLENTY of 1984 happening. Section 127 of the Communications Act, anyone? With "everyone" having an Alexa - and she's always listening - then anyone can fall afoul of the law... And that's even before we get to the "your under arrest and we don't need to tell you why - and you can't speak to a solicitor" Terrorism Act! Which books are verboten? Harry Potter, apparently... They have burnt copies. What next? And what about 2 minutes of hate? Well, did any of you "clank for the NHS"? Now be good little Socialists and boo Robinson, I mean Goldstein!
