  1. The US 2nd Amendment though is about ensuring that oppressive and tyrannical Government was not allowed to form. Technology argument is not important. It was about ensuring that the populace had the same weapons as the Government. Folks freely owning an F15E with 8 JDAMs or a Tactical Nuclear weapon to match US Government capability is a better argument to support the 2nd Amendment.

We never had any problems at the local primary School with the Battle Rifles and Light Machine Guns or walking around the local neighbourhood with them here in Dundee Scotland back in the 1980s as Teenage boys. No trouble either whilst carrying out Close Quarter Battle CQB drill training aged 15 on the Isle of Man as well.

  3. There is already vast areas of the USA that has Gun Control laws were law abiding citizens cannot easily own a Firearm. Places like NYC and Chiraq. Strangely it is also where most of the Firearms deaths are recorded as well. Most are Democratic Governed areas of the USA.
