I rang up my local Council in Dundee the other day to enquire where my nearest Civil defence Nuclear Bomb shelter was and what plans they had in place and would I need to bring along my own food rations for the month so that the nuclear fallout radiation levels subside or would the Council be providing the food and water. The Council said that I was lucky that the domestic refuse bins are emptied once every two weeks as they were looking to empty the bins once every month.

If King Charles had paid some Inheritance tax, the £16 Billion pounds being invested in to the UK's armed services could have been easily doubled (even a couple of Billion invested in UK Civil Defence). Instead tax payer resources such as £200 Million is used in popping a crown on his noggin. £200 Million could be used for small arms ammunition to keep the British Army troops fighting the Russian for a few extra days (double the time assuming that they've not been completely wiped out in that time period)

  3. @rory kinahan Nuclear Weapons especially the daughter product isotopes, which are intensly radioactive of the Uranian 235 being spilt - Nuclear Fission will have half lives of a few weeks. Special Colbalt cased atomic and hydrogen bombs can produce ratioactive half lives of decades. All depends on the bomb design.

  6. There is zero Civil Defence for World War Three for fighting the Russians as well in the UK. There isn't even any advice or publication material on what to put in the Nuclear War Survival kit (i've started to add to my current Dark Winter blackout kit based on the Nuclear fallout 1970s PIF) or even how to winterise an Anderson Shelter :yt:Your Anderson Shelter This Winter (1940), let alone how to build a nuclear fallout home refuge. Even simple advice whether having plastic NATO water jerry's or having the more expensive Stainless Steel water Jerry's is best or will do for nuclear weapons combat, or which water water filters would be best to help remove radioactive isotopes for potable water (i've went for the British Berkfield with 4 x Ultra Sterasyl Heavy Metal Reduction Ceramic Water Filter Candles). Even Electromagnetic Pulse weapons may destroy all electronics and then Tic Toc videos and Instagram would become unavailable. Most folks don't have Potassium Iodide in their CBRN PPE kit.
