This is somewhat akin to the Mao Centralised plan of abandoning peasant agriculture during the great leap forward in to order smelt small quantities of Village Iron. Look at China now. The 60 million dead from poverty and starvation in the 1960s was just a little bump in the road. The Labour Long Pig Community cooking pots of their NetZero and YearZero (as a consequence) should be of course be remembered as being tasty for the great Build Back Better. Energy policies have consequences as can be seen with the environmental green washing making electricity a luxury item leaving millions in the misery of the winter cold. The Labour Party are an unmitigated disaster which will lead the nation to poverty, cold, hunger and death.

Where are the Labour Party going to get the £3 Trillion to upgrade, just the Electrification systems (power energy Grid) of the private transport eVs to replace the fossil fuelled ICE vehicles. 30-40 1 Gigawatt Nuclear power stations would need to be built (will they have to purchase the Uranium from Putin's Uranium One). How many little African fellows would have to die in the Cobalt mines? Will they need my Silver to make the Solar Panels and where will they get the energy to manufacture the Silicon Crystals for the Solar Panels. Going Green is going to be very expensive at Doubling the National Debt and very energy intensive manufacturing the Green Revolution renewables such as Giga factories and the like. An environmental disaster, poverty, hunger and bankruptcy being promised by Labour Party with their Policies.

These are the same Council of Foreign Relations and TriLateral commission fellows that have already agreed to stop 50% of Farming across the planet via COP27 using World Economic Forum ESG Government directives to their penetrations etc. The elimination the Carbon Based Units is already baked into the cake. Its just a matter of time. The solution for the Climate emergency is the termination of what they consider to be the Useless Eaters.

@SlowhandGreg As the energy input cost of manufacturing the solar panels in terms of getting back the solar energy will take approximately 10-15 years break even energy balance depending on the earths latitude, the installation of the solar panels (made in China? using the energy created from burning coal in a Chinese Power Station) so in reality if the Solar Panels are less than 10-15 years old the energy net is still from burning that coal in China years before. Solar thermal of course will only work during the summer months (useful 6-8 months of the year?) I was talking about reliable energy to provide the UK Baseload Electrical Grid throughtout the year. Renewables do create useful addition electrical grid generation when to sun shines and the wind blow. The light go out when it doesn't.

@SlowhandGreg Installed Wind in the UK is around 25 GW. During previous lulls in wind in the winter months, the actually wind generated output was barely getting 1-2 GW (12/12/202) with Solar getting around 0.25GW. Even if the installed Wind was 100 GW there will be days when the output will be only 4-8GW. The lights will go out and weeks of chaos and disruption from Communications failure to Internet Access to Financial Transaction as the systems and supply chains come back on line (could even be longer if a Black Start was required). Storage of electricity by battery would only radically increase costs where today Electricity is a luxury for many. I have around 5KWhrs of Chinese Lithium Battery via Solar PV Generators, but in Winter I would have to rely on a couple of Zibro Laser heaters and a few hundred litres of Paraffin Oil to keep warm for a few weeks at a time.

Tory NetZero (Glasgow COP26) Sharma, CFR Sturgeon et al has already seen the production of Industrial Fertiliser in the UK being abandoned. This has already in the UK seen a vast drop in Agricultural production outputs, where imports of foriegn food have to make up the shortfall.
