On the 12th of December 2022 the wind didn't blow and the sun didn't shine and the combined energy generation from wind and solar was around 3 Gigawatts with 45+ Gigawatt load demand. The light and heating across the nation would have failed if Starmer has his NetZero way and a potential Black Start, which can take weeks, would have possibly been required. The Result. :yt:Blackout UK 2013 But in the midst of a freezing -10 C winter.

Its pretty disturbing that the Electrical Engineering Degree course back in the 1980s required books like 'Applied Thermodynamics for Engineering Technologists' by A. Eastop, T.D. McConkey (who was a lecturer at Dundee Institutue of Technology) and now energy policy is being determined by a Pointless Political Retardation, who has absolutely no conception of the consequences of a NetZero Policy and the damage to lives and poverty it will create let alone the deaths.

NetZero in the UK could be achievable if the Deagel Report UK population projections for 2025 are met. Perhaps Starmer has some Trilateral Commission Inside information on the forthcoming UK Megadeath.

I did some calculations a few years ago on the requirement for the electrification of just the Private vehicle transport in the UK to replace the automotive fuels and the cost it would require. The UK would effectively require another UK Electrical Generation Grid in addition to the one that is already in place. The energy duty cycles would require a steady base load that Solar and Wind Generation are incapable of delievering so it would require around 30-40 Gigawat+ Nuclear Power Stations at over 1 £trillion combined with an EV fast charger network costing around another 1 £trillion. Interesting enough some far more detailed projected costs by more knowledgeable industry insiders say £3 Trillion in total (more than the UK National Debt). £28 Billion a year is a piss in the bucket for the NetZero and the Uranium would have to purchased from Vladimir Putins Uranium One mining company.

@NoWindNoSunNoPower Unfortunately the vehicle battery charging efficiency (20% losses), peak charging duty cycles haven't been accounted for (Fast charging requiring 2hrs rather than 8 hrs at peak times depending on days like bank holidays, night time charging etc), or the Power Station maintenance cycles. Again wind turbines would be completely unsuitable as they cannot provide a baseload.

@stevec6427 Currently 79% of the 33.84 GW demand in the UK is being provided by a Thermal power station. Even the 16% of Wind Generation requires an atmospheric movement of a fluid (air) in order to turn the turbine generator set, which could easily be argued requires a temperature difference in the earth atmosphere (a Heat engine) to provide the moving fluid (air). Silicon Solar cells require a photon electron band gap excitation to provide direct solar energy. Its all thermodynamics.

@richardwherry4896 Keir Starmer being a TriLateral Commission member, I have no doubt would be in agreement with one of the founders of that organisation. :yt:Zbigniew Brzezinski It is infinitely easier to kill a million people than to control them Nuclear warfare could be a solution for their Eugenics but they would loose out on the property damage wealth. I suspect it will be their planned YearZero Holodomor, which could easily be achieved in 3-6 months if food imports are stopped into the UK island.

It like watching a Big Train Train Sketch :yt:Big Train - London to Edinburgh considering the complete lack of understanding of this pointless retardation Political Class fellow way beyond his pay scale of what is achievable in the real world and the associated risks of his NetZero wet dreams.
