A Global Warming climate emergency this year, firstly a repeat of the the glorious 1976 Summer and now I suspect the 1962/63 Winter but with the Electrical Grid Blackouts and with no coal to keep warm by and combined with a General Strike like 1926 and a Winter of Discontent of 1978/79. Hopefully it won't be as cold as the Global Warming emergency of the great frost winter of 1709.

  3. Gridwatch Fuel type power generation production as percentages. Burning Fossil Fuel CCGT% for Grid Electricity was 67% of the Grid load tonight in the UK. Green 'Renewables' such as Solar and Wind Turbine Generation was around 2 or 3% - a catastrophic failure for base load generation or even peak loading, when demand is at its highest so far this winter and 17% of the electricity to keep the lights on was imported into the UK. Hopefully the UK won't blow up its North Sea Gas pipelines outside Kirriemuir like the Russians did with their Gas Pipeline which cost $10s Billions to build.
