  1. OCGT (open cycle gas turbine use is extremely expensive) has been turned on according to Gridwatch. This means Grid capacity generation is currently getting near capacity limits (due to the failure of green energy of Solar and Wind Generation) at the current load demand of 44.85 GW.

Probably in for another period where the Wind and Solar generation will collapse into just a few GWhrs capacity again, but unlike the cold snap just a week or two (12th December) before Christmas the CCGT capacity required to make up the difference isn't there due to local gas storage issues such as LNG tanks running near empty, I suspect.

  3. Chances are that there is ongoing National Grid Load Shedding in a very sneaky way. Those with Smart Meters PAYG credit with only a few £s left in Credit are now being disconnected (blacked out) right now. Smart Meters offer the Energy company load shedding on an individual basis though out the country rather than implementing rotating regional blackouts and therefore will not be reported by the MSM.

Those that are subject to Energy poverty will be the first to be disconnected from the Electrical Energy Grid during load shedding due to the failure of long term (decades) Government Green Policy objectives. The poor don't have a voice and the MSM will cover the WEF Corporate Associates for their actions and policies.
