@Globeishoax If you were oriented such that north is up from your point of view and you had a camera and telescope that are more powerful than any currently in existence, yes, you could zoom in and see people that are sideways and upside down relative to you. I really don’t get why it’s so hard for flerfs to understand that south isn’t down.

The positions of the stars in the sky change at a rate that that is too slow to be perceptible over a human life span. The galaxy is really, really big and the stars are really really far away. It takes a very long time for them to move a noticeable about. For example, the earth’s axis of rotation precesses and oscillates on cycles that take tens of thousands of years. However, we do have historical records from thousands of years ago when a star other than Polaris was the northern pole star.
