  1. While pondering evidentials I realized that a different feature in Finnish might serve somewhat similar purpose. That is, to use "lauseenvastike" to deliver quite a bit of information in a compact form: näyttäisi sataneen -> It looks like it's been raining. kuulostaa satavan -> It sounds like it's raining I'm not sure if this is relevant though :)
