  3. Fortunately, we don't have shiny buildings in Finland! j/k It's totally true, richer countries are exploiting the poorer countries.. I'm trying to build class solidarity here in the frozen (but melting) north.. to get people to understand that workers here have more in common with the workers abroad than they do with the ultra-rich. "American dream" is being exported here too and the propaganda game is ramping up... we need to fight against that too.

  4. "I think competition brings out the best in people" Yeah, I play some competitive games and their communities are corrosive waste pools of throbbing rage compared to many collaborative games (yeah you'll find assholes there too but the difference is usually night and day).

  7. Caring less about succeeding than not failing is quite different. For example, not trying reduces the chance of failure quite drastically. However, that's not a profound truth and does not apply to all people..

  8. So the problem is that some people are outside his physical "problem solving" skills not that he does not have proper other tools. I can see why this kind of talk is attractive to the parts of population who want to see the problem in others.
