It's still a skinner box. I think one crucial detail / conclusion of Skinner's experiment was left out. If they rewarded the test subject every time it did something, it did do it for a while but eventually get bored. But once they made the reward only appear randomly .. the test subject would often obsessively repeat that action until exhaustion, even forgoing all of its physical needs. So, once in a while, randomly, you find something in the feed that elicits an emotional response from you. It's not guaranteed but you never know what you're going to find! So, you scroll and scroll..

@jjefferyworboys8138 And the real conflict is the class conflict.

I kinda agree.. voters need IDs but I think the state needs to provide it for all their citizens. If it costs something you'll end up excluding the poorest part of the population.

There's definitely a racist component to this.. However, there are other factors at play, most of them are just behind this veil of "concern for human lives/suffering", that's PR which sounds appealing and the "right thing to do". Yes there is racism on all levels but I'd also like to point out that the major players in this aren't that much concerned about Ukrainian lives even if they're whiter and more blue-eyed. In Europe many countries have been invaded by USSR/Russia or been part of it.. and they've been preparing/fearing for their expansion attempts so this attack is seen as a prelude to an existential threat. US on the other hand is interested in bleeding Russia as much as they can so they can weaken a major player on the arena.. China's interest is probably pretty much the same. I really really wish people would keep up this anti-war sentiment and that it would raise awareness and lead to opposition against all those barbaric attacks and humanitarian crises. The problem is that even if everyday people would be horrified by them and against them.. the foreign policy power game.. it's not about doing the right thing and we likely won't see the leaders and the media follow suit as long as the elite is in their own bubble and not responsible to the people they're supposed to work for.. This sounds very depressing but I'm just saying that we need to do more.. we need a fundamental change.
