Insecurity is so on brand for them.

As a Linux user who wrote code for free that's probably used as a training data.. Yeah, me like so many writers, graphical artists, musicians, have become training data for AI. These advances are awesome and I'm loving it... except for the fact that 99% of the millions and millions of the people won't be getting anything back.. billions of man-hours will be used to enrich precious few.. that's what makes me sad.

@JosifovGjorgi Um, that can be optimised away in many cases...

Yeah, even things like Redux & co which people like to use with React took their inspiration from Elm. What they don't have are good static type system and functional programming and those will continue to rise..

The problem isn't AI (or any automation). The problem is that the workers do not benefit from them and therefore we are terrified for our future. We as a society have worked together to make productivity soar, we as a society deserve to reap the benefits. It's time for all wage workers to realize that whether you're a doctor or a farmhand, a programmer or a window cleaner, automation is coming for your job and depending on the system we live in that's either liberating or dystopian news. Currently we have the latter and that is what needs to change.

"chain of thought" is more like "recursive prompt augmentation".

My problems with OOP are almost always related to the state. Predictability, testability, reusability all are often hindered by the implicit hidden state. Most of the time having types + typeclasses (or something similar) would be a cleaner solution.

Still wishing for the timeline where a language with a good type system replaces JS. 😐

Hmm.. need to make Rescript bindings for it though. It's so much nicer language than TS.

Sound type system and type inference would be closer to a dream come true =) Fortunately languages like ReScript already gives us a taste of this.. but it would be so much better if that was the official way of doing things.

JS framework compilers often screw up compatibility with <lang> -> JS compilers. That's why Svelte is dead to me.

I'll take that lifetime supply of DMT, thanks.

"Frameworks are only as good as the support and community behind it." If that was true how would a community grow behind any other framework than the current top one? There are technical merits and DX too..
