  1. These apps/web pages can be helpful indeed but I often find myself being unable to give "agree/disagree" -answer because the issue is complicated and/or encompasses too many things. Another problem that may be harder to solve are the questions that not asked. "Waterboarding kittens is better than shocking them" agree/disagree? No! Where's the question whether we should be doing this at all!

  2. Even if their story was a genuine rags to riches one.. it doesn't mean that the game isn't rigged or that the system is somehow morally justifiable.

  3. That's why I don't feel like I have a political home because while one could say I'm very left leaning I don't believe that many of the current talking points should be in the forefront. Maybe I shouldn't be looking for "a home" since it's tribalistic in nature.. but the current system is party-based and it's pretty hard to get any momentum as an individual.

  4. I don't watch short content videos either.. Most of the content I look for is somewhere between 30 to 90 minutes. Anyway, thanks for the reminder of the opportunity cost.. I really need to cut down the time I spend on Youtube and pick up a book.
