Vanessa, can i also mention that Paul Whitewick on his vlog today has interviewed other volunteers and people who live or work on the Kennet and Avon canal, where Paul Whitewick and his friend Alan discuss how important it is to keep the canals operating in good shape for all users on the canal, the locks and the towpath.

  2. Really a superb vlog Vanessa, encompassing so much of canal life and history, and nature, as always. Thanks for mentioning the mines, miners, and their families' contribution to British life. I don't think the importance of mining can be overestimated. And, all the mechanical help on the canal. The work on the peat train was really something else - hooray for volunteers. Good dog Zephyr 🐕 for helping with 😊 cheese eating.
