  1. loopje ummm North Korea is a communist state which has nothing to do with conservatism. communism is more aligned with socialist ideology than anything else which is why most communist Countries use socialist in the name i.e. United Socialist States of Russia, Socialist republic of china. I know school curriculum is awful nowadays-mostly teachers teach on their own ideology than fact but come on this stuff is pretty much common knowledge!

  2. Fred Frond while i didnt vote for trump let's get real America is prospering far more than it ever did under Obama any statistics you want to use proves it. Unemployment-near historic lows for all ethnic groups, wages-on an uphill trend in the past year and a half, stock market-near record highs with both the Dow and nasdaq reaching record highs at some point in the past year, business-upwards trend in expansion.

  3. Fred Frond don't have to revisit in a year-the statistics of the past year and a half shows the positive effects (btw I voted for neither Hillary nor Trump). Wages have most certainly increased and that was without minimum wage laws-that' s an absolute fact that is undeniable-even companies like walmart increased their starting pay! Interest rates are subject to the Fed board which is independent to presidential persuasion other than the current potus selecting the Fed chairman when that position expires, the Fed decides when interest rates rise not the potus nor Congress. if Canada wizen's up and joins the new trade alliance with Mexico China will be devastated economically if they continue down the path they're currently treading-go to your local grocery store and look at where all your seafood comes from-the vast majority is from China and that doesn't even include the other areas of commerce in America they risk losing if they stay on the path they've chosen-europe and Africa can't cover the economic losses they'll soon be facing, that's a simple economic fact which is why the Chinese government subsidies anti Trump policies through their "news" outlet China and America multiple times a day!

  4. mrhazel think you had better pick up a book and quit listening to professors and learn what fascism really was. Fascist countries like nazi germany did not believe in what we know here in the US as full private ownership of companies. Most companies were at least partially owned or controlled by the State. Hmmm, which political party in the US believes the government should have more control over private businesses? Well it sure isn't the libertarion or republican party. Fascist countries also tend to ban private gun ownership. Again which party in america more closely holds to that philosophy?

  7. mrhazel the labor party aligns itself with socialism but it is a hodge podge like america in it's views probably a bit more on the socialist side. Anyway that has nothing to do with the policies fascist regimes implement which is much more aligned with communism and socialism. you're kind of drifting off topic a bit.

  10. mrhazel well im not sure exactly what happened to one of the comments i posted in which i stated that norway and finland tend more towards conservitive than socialist, for some reason it's no longer in the thread. Australia is the one i stated that trends more socialist especially the labor party. Anyway we'll just have to agree to disagree-i still think you're mistaking libertarianism with social democrat though.

  12. mrhazel as i said we'll just have to agree to disagree. anyway we've both gotten way off the original point which is that fascism is more aligned with socialistic ideals (government control of businesses, technology, resources etc). than it is with conservatism.

  13. mrhazel it's obvious you don't understand the similarities between socialism and fascism. I've actually had the opportunity to know many people who grew up in fascist (nazi germany) and fascist italy before and during WW2. Having had first hand knowledge of true fascism from growing up under a fascist regime every single one of those people vehemently opposed socialism as a mild form, or precurser, to a fascist form of government. Anyway we'll just have to disagree. good night.
