  1. I heard about those Fishes. Not only are they from Africa, “Such as what we see here.” But also in South America & Australia. They’re one of the few Fish that haven’t changed in Millions of Years. At least there weren’t any Shoebills around to eat one of these Lungfish. I’ll have to wait & find out & see what the rest of this program has for us on the 1st week of November.

  2. Another Animal Hybrid on the planet. It maybe safe from the Wild Hunting Dogs. “For now” But I don’t think it’s immune to Crocodiles compared to it’s half brother the waterbuck. After all Hippos aren’t the only thing in the water. The Crocodiles could be anywhere in these flood waters.

  3. 3:09 Hey, that’s the Archaeopteryx that 1st came to life at the beginning. Then it returned right after Dippy came to life just before daylight AKA just before dawn.

  5. Finally, Natural History Museum Alive is coming out to America after 11 years. This time in a Feature Special from PBS NATURE. I hope this will be available on DVD in America soon.

  7. Like I said, I hope there are some Crocodiles too. After all, this looks like the part of Florida where Alligators & Crocodiles live side by side. Even if they show off. Especially, rarely fight.

  8. If it isn’t our old friend David Attenborough in another Nature Program in the 21st Century. 1:54 Like his older late Brother Richard Attenborough once said in Jurassic Park, “We have a T.Rex”. Which reminds me, D.A’S recent hit documentaries Prehistoric Planet 1 & Prehistoric Planet 2 have yet to be released on DVD in America. Just like this new Nature Program might & will soon be available on DVD in America.

  9. I’ve heard of these Chameleons, they have the shortest life span of any land vertebrate for a year. Plus, I’m kind of shocked.

  11. Well this is the last part of this 3 part Nature Program. I hope to see crocodiles again. Especially i hope to see a Pangolin. Not to mention hoping to see a Rhino. The last part had a brief appearance of a Southern White Rhino, Which is a rare occasion.

  13. 0:29 Looks like I was right about this being a Leopard Seal when I 1st saw the preview. It isn’t everyday that Orcas AKA Killer Whales go after one of those seals. I think this is what I call “Only 1 thing intimidates a Predator, a BIGGER One.”

  15. So it’s true, the przewalski horses are featured in this Nature Program. A close resemblance to Equus. Especially, A link between the Horse & the Zebra. I’m adding this to my DVD collection. If only that 2 part program of the Kalahari was out on DVD again.

  16. Oh yeah, I’ve heard of that last Pinta Island Tortoise. He even Stared on a couple other Nature Programs like “Reptiles: Tortoises & Turtles” in 2003 & “Loneliest Animals” in 2009. I doubt that he was featured one one of those other Nature Programs in the 1980S like that 3 part Galapagos one for example? Anyway, I even heard that he died in 2012 & is now stuffed & displayed at the Museum of Natural History in New York.

  18. I should’ve said this a long time ago, but I will now. Leatherback Turtles are my favorite Sea Turtles. They kind of remind me of their Extinct relative from the Cretaceous Period called an Archelon. Including the Protostega. As far as I’m concerned, the Leatherbacks are the only Giant Sea Turtles we have alive today.

  25. Elisa Huberman I went to the Bronx Zoo recently on October 2019. But I never got a chance to try the Monorail Safari. I only half of the Animals I could witness at one of the Biggest City Zoos of America. Especially even in the world. I might return to the Bronx Zoo in maybe a couple years & see some of the other Animals I overlooked. Especially this Relative of Equus. Not to mention the link between the Zebra & the domesticated Horse.

  26. I repeat, While the humans deal with the Backfire, Some Creatures take refuge from the flames. Some slip into the water, While others retreat into Burrows. As long as it’s deep enough & away from the fire.

  29. Glen Be Nevertheless. That Hybrid Antelope has to watch it’s surroundings. A Crocodile could be lurking anywhere underwater. Plus, Again. Unlike the hybrid’s Purebred half brother the waterbuck, I doubt it’s Immune to any Predator.

  30. Chester Donnelly Very Funny. Mammals mate with mammals. Reptiles mate with reptiles. Plus, Mammals give birth. Reptiles lay eggs. Some of their own species sometimes make Hybrids. I even came across a Dolphin at Discovery Cove years ago. His mother was a Bottlenosed Dolphin & his father was a Common Dolphin. “Long or short snouted.” That was a real experience I’ll never forget. I even still have a couple pictures of my old trip.

  34. I was going to say the same thing about our fast running & sometimes flying bird friend. The Roadrunner & the rest of its kind are about the same size as the 34 year Dinosaur Discovery Bambiraptor. When I say “30 year Discovery” I mean Bambiraptor was unearthed & named 30 years ago in the year 2000. Hence 30 year Discovery.

  36. I like Frogs. Mostly most Tropical Frogs anyway. I even seen some Tropical looking frogs make some appearances on some of my favorite animated & Live Action shows & movies. From Muppets, to Kulipari & finally Amphibia.

  37. Last time Nature did a 2 part Program of the Kalahari “The Great Thirstland” & “The Flooded Desert”. But I could’ve sworn that 2 part Nature Program From 2003 was on DVD. It better be back on DVD stock again someday. But for now, this 3 part Nature Program will be available on DVD for the Holidays.

I knew there were going to be Nile Crocodiles on this Nature Program. “As usual.” I wonder if there’ll be a PBS Nature Program on… Orinoco Crocodiles someday? Those Crocs from South America have barely been given Media attention to the viewing public over the years. Compared to their cousins the American Crocodiles.

  41. 1:03 I knew there was something about him due to the last name. He played a role in the 1967 Film Doctor Dolittle on that “Never Seen Anything Like It In My Life” scene. He even played Santa Clause in the 1994 Remake of the Classic full length Christmas Special Film Miracle in 34th Street. I feel like I’m forgetting 1 or 2 Films he featured on. (Thump Thump & the water ripped 2 times) Oh yeah, he played John Hammond from the 2 Jurassic Park Films. Plus, he said this. “Welcome To Jurassic Park.” 2:22 As for his brother, he guides, hosts & narrates some of my favorite shows, documentaries & programs featuring one of my favorite animals on earth. Both Alive & Extinct. Especially Dinosaurs.

  50. Nature on PBS Well we all make mistakes by accident. I look forward to seeing this & the Cuba program, then someday add them to my DVD Collection of one of my favorite NATURE Programs. If only I could say the same for that 2003 2 part Nature Program Kalahari: The Great Thirstland & The Flooded Desert. I give a thing for that double Nature Program of the Kalahari to be on DVD again. That did Feature some of my favorite animals like Elephants, Crocodiles, zebras, Lions, Leopards & Pangolins. Speaking of the Reptile, I hope some American Crocodiles are going to make an appearance in this. I also hope that someday you will do a program of it’s cousin The Orinoco Crocodile.
