I grew up in northern WVa and moved away 40 years ago. When i go back to visit, some of the towns i drive thru look like these hollers you show on this channel. Its a weird feeling of sadness and feeling blessed that I had a chance to move away when i did. Im not surprised that someone came out to greet you, they're good people back in those hills.

No matter what part of the "304" you're in or have lived in, It will always be called "Gods Country" RIP Logan Wva

Holy cow, we use to run up to the Ville in the early 80's. Roller skating and visiting family. Seeing the side of that brick building with the Weirton Steel sign hits home. This one was tuff to watch. I feel bad for the people that have no other choice but to still live there.

Why so many Dodge Chargers? I counted 8

Some of those houses look like they were built back in the early 1900's and abandoned by the 1950's

@11:39 The swing set in the middle of nothing. Watching your videos make me feel so fortunate that I was able to leave the valley at 20 years old. I return to visit but the feeling i get when i travel back home to the big city is that of relief. Well done HnH.

The chickens, playing chicken, in the middle of the street. Classic..

Just before you get to East Liverpool. Anything Route 7 and Route 2, we would take joy rides to all those towns along the Ohio River back in the early 80's. Sad what they have become.

McDowell county. They can give these towns different names, but they all mirror each other with the destruction of the coal industry. I feel fortunate being able to move away from the great state of Wva at the age of 21. I will never forget when my boss said " would you like to transfer to the big City?" I never looked back but feel for the people who never left.

Its unreal how much it cost to demolish a house. The removal / clearing of the lot and so forth.

I grew up in northern WVa. You could use the term "Hillbillie" for almost any part of WVa, and also the a joining counties over in Ohio for that matter. How about that Fastback Mustang @ 1:07!

The silence is kind of creepy, in a good way. WVa sure does have some haunting places.

"Can it be revitalized?" That would be a hard NO. i would love to know how long that old car's been sitting there for @1:02

That place isnt to far from Steubenville. Hard to believe ive never heard of that town. Move there? Not a chance. Mr HnH, you need to do a video of a Holler named Colliers Wv. It fits in with your channel well.

You went down the street, then up again. Not much there? lol

You chose a town that I have family currently living in. My sister will get a kick out of this. Going to share. She will say, "I dont live in a hood or a holler!" LOL

Well the residents there dont have to far to drive for a Walmart, theres one right across the river. That being said, that place was bad, real bad. There was a FOR SALE sign on one of those houses. Interested?

@hoods n hollers You seem to be out there in the open doing these videos. Have you ever had a "encounter" out on the streets that made you feel unsafe?
