If that's the case, how come this so called "respect and admiration" didn't buy them membership at NATO?! @shagaru1234 Let me remind you that Ukraine has banned men between age 17 to 67 from leaving the country(mandatory to stay) but in Syria, there was no such restriction so don't call them coward when you are not aware of the facts! Also, most of the Syrian refugees, women and children, were disallowed to enter Europe/US! The refugee situation in Syria was created by the US/Europe's regime change and endless war policies.

@heinedietiker4943 What a stupid statement. If your narrative is correct then Egyptian people protested against Mubarak and his response was massive violence, torture and murder. US and Israel supported an illegal coup to overthrown a legally elected government and replaced it with a new military dictatorship! Regime change has failed. Al-Qaeda and affiliated terrorist groups have long since taken over or co-opted other militants in Syria to fight for them. The Kurds were just another casualty of this regime change war which is supported by war-mongering Republicans, Democrats, and corporate media.
