@Cheeseatingjunlista So, what you are saying, is that China has raised the standard of living for millions, but that was only done for power? In the UK the government has overseen a widening gap between the rich and poor, much of this has been done by giving away £billions to "friends". But we're wonderfully free?

A lot of nonsense! China isn't overreacting, it's reacting to America's lies and underhand dealings attempting to make believe there are two Chinas when there is only one.

@paultong0891 Did you know that the Japanese - your new "ally" - played a large part in the fortunes of the area. And the KMT invaded and repressed the local population until they became assimilated. After military dictatorship, direct election of the president first happened in 1996, so politically Taiwan has only recently became what it is now. In other words, it has been ruled by its current government for less time than the Mainland has.

@paultong0891 And you are twisting Taiwan's independence to include the 50 years of Japanese rule. You are also twisting Pelosi's visit as a "normal visit" when you show enough intelligence to know what she was doing was being deliberately provocative. Anyway, writing these huge "essays" has kept you out of trouble. You haven't had the time to begin the return of the Mainland to the time of the Warlords. Luckily!
