  2. Last Christmas I gave my allowance to my 2 sons and D-in-law. An extra Xmas present. I'd have done the same this year. I'm 83 and have enough, so give mine to some who are struggling. Many of us pensioners aren't struggling. Sensible decision!

  17.  @James_Rivett  It's pretty ignorant to think it was "pole" tax, James, even though you feel you are superior to me. It's "poll" tax", basically meaning "head tax", as everybody paid the same. Did you make your mind up that it was a good idea later on when you judged her?
