Imagine paying for the game, then paying for the sub, then paying to skip a substantial part of the game, and all of it is just to be ready to play and earn loot that will be absolutely useless after 6 month. The question shouldnt be about how to make it easy for people to return, it should be about how to make a game interesting for them to return. Now, imagine applying the same logic to any other game. Ah, yes I would want to pay to skip the first 10 hours of gameplay in elden ring, cuz the bosses in the final part are fun.
