6 relatives of mine just contracted covid this past week. From 1 family member’s attendance at a large indoor club event (1-2 days before our family event). It’s not over yet people, if for some crazy reason you won’t or can’t get the shot, at least socially distance and be safe. Stay away from large indoor gatherings especially!

Just wanted to pop in and say I got an update from a family member and the count is now 12 relatives and in laws sick with coronavirus. I just wanted to mention that so when you see people out wearing masks and still being extra careful social distancing, or turning down get togethers, there’s a reason! Be safe out there. If not for yourself, then for your loved ones and your neighbor who is vulnerable. Thank you

@franceshinks1810 thanks so much 💛 I had just let my guard down and gone to a restaurant last week for the first time since March last year and our family event 😝 we’re hunkering back down again! Got a bunch of Lysol and hand wipes and not breathing on each other until we know we’re in the clear. Also picked up some Abbott over the counter 15 minute covid home tests. They’re $24 for a 2 pack and great for those who refuse to go get tested at the dr or pharmacy. Got some for my relatives too. 🤞 hoping won’t hear more people getting sick this week or ending up in the hospital 😬🙏

@tonyarichards5430 oh man let me figure it out. We’re now at 13 total (although the minor children are all better). The one patient zero for our group who went to the club event was unvaccinated (and the sickest one of everybody, probably should’ve sought medical attention but refused), I heard 5 in laws were vaccinated (don’t know details), my daughter in law had the Pfizer and got it, (I had the Modena and I didn’t get it and I was in a small enclosed air conditioned room with the first 3 who got sick for 4 hours). 13 people: 6 vaccinated 7 unvaccinated The age breakdowns: 2 children (one kindergartener, one 8 mo old baby) 3 middle aged 8 twenty-somethings We’re speculating it was likely the delta variant since we just read an article from Israel saying the Pfizer is less effective than the moderna against it. Still prevents hospitalizations and deaths well, but not as effective against getting sick at all. California here

In the UK does “doctors surgery” mean something different there? Here in the US, that’s the room you get operated on (a friend told me it’s called the operating theater there)
