That’s not quite as edgy as white nationalists marching with confederate flags and chanting, “we love Russia! Jews will not replace us!!”

Again, that’s due to underfunding. They’re already trying to dismantle the Dept of education, look at Betsy DeVos who Trump put in charge. Just like he’s trying to destroy the environmental protection Dept by installing Pruitt, who repeatedly fought the EPA in favor of oil.

This specifically is Trump’s budget proposal. Wait to make excuses for him later, when we see what the GOP in charge does with his suggestions.

Adan Lopez, I think you misunderstood. I agree.

MIC. The wall. Border patrol. Lobbyists. His pockets. And those like him.

The stock market isn’t the whole of the economy. It’s come up since last week (but still off its high). https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets I think the biggest complaint was that the stock market was already steadily climbing, and Trump took full personal credit it for it being high. But then he didn’t take responsibility when it dropped last week.

And they already had stopped allowing research grants which study gun violence.

Interesting study on non-violent crime. In addition to what Gage Acosta mentioned, I wanted to just add that interestingly it said liberal whites showed a positive result in relation to crime, but blacks and Latinos did not. Also, the wave 1 through wave 4 data set was for teenagers through early thirties. So not for all age groups. (I think it said the mean age was 22 years old +/- 1.8 years.) Lastly, it was for self-reported crime. I could be wrong, but that last point may bring into question the entire premise of young liberals having committed more crime. In my mind, the authoritarian/moral mindset of a conservative would preclude them from easily admitting wrongdoing (and therefore under self report) where the liberal mindset would be more open to answering that question honestly. I could be wrong, I could be right. Either way, glad to see people trying to argue with empirical fact-based data, even if this particular paper wasn’t the best example.

The wealthy can afford good college education, plus they can just sponsor college-educated visa holders, or further outsource their labor to India.

He tried to reduce their benefits too, until he got pushback on it.

The dept of education existed before in a combination department. I personally think all schools should have standards that are taught everywhere, otherwise they won’t be prepared for higher education if they attend college or technical school outside their own community. But that’s my opinion. I don’t know where you got that the federal government took away programs. It’s still an underfunding problem, just more complicated than that. https://www.npr.org/2016/04/18/474256366/why-americas-schools-have-a-money-problem But you’re right, I was glib with my answer. Only an average of 10% of school funds are from the federal government and they go toward poorer schools, special education and largely college education. This is more about problems with schools being funded primarily through local and state government.

whyamimrpink78, I’m pretty sure he said 1% of the military budget. If you actually read his post.
