  1. I can’t remember the exact number, but Obama did reduce the population by around 75% before he left office. The numbers went from something like 200 imprisoned down to only 50. It was a contentious issue. And he was raked over the coals for it by both sides. The left for it not being completely emptied, the right because a couple of released detainees committed more crimes. I know nuance is often overlooked in debates but at least recognize there’s a difference between Obama massively reducing it...and Trump vowing to fill it up.
