  1. You can’t claim life insurance benefits if the insured commits suicide within the first two years of taking the policy out. Although I’d rather we change out healthcare system so nobody ever considers that, even rhetorically. I think you can overcome the end of life issues if you have an advance directive, hopefully a thorough one that covers different scenarios like being on a breathing machine or in a coma. But not every person of course is going to want to pull the plug.
