  2. Matthew Maisonneuve i have private insurance and my mother has Medicare. I go to the best hospital in the county and my great dr is part of that hospital group. She sees the same dr I do and goes to the same hospital. There is zero difference in our care by the medical profession.

  3. You said worse quality of care and compared it to ikea furniture. That’s what I was saying is untrue. I’ve been with my dr and hospital for 15 years, they may get longer wait times but they are high quality. And that wouldn’t change just because Medicare is paying instead of my insurance company. As evidenced by my mothers superior care.

  4. Matthew Maisonneuve I didn’t argue about wait times. I argued about quality of care. My hospital and my caring, intelligent doctor aren’t going to suddenly change their entire mindset and attention they give patients during their personal visit. Comparing it to ikea furniture implies cheap, poor quality materials that you have to self assemble. It seems to me you’re being disingenuous. Or shifting the goalpost (and walking back your original point) because you’re trying to argue a point that I’m not arguing against.

  6. Frost Hound they do save lives. He’s not against the medicine, he’s against the profit taking making our meds cost 10x what they cost in another country. Vaccines are not expensive. Spending money in advertising to sell overpriced medications is wrong, when it matches or overshadows the R&D costs, paying millions to executives, paying to turn the public against their own interests, paying for lobbyists and campaign contributions to keep their medications costing orders of magnitude over their actual production cost.
