  6. It’s true. Two of the extreme Trump supporters in my life are white republicans who have been on multiple programs for years. All while they complain about it politically in the abstract...as if they are not recipients themselves. It’s like they have zero self awareness.

  35. Kathryn Savage what? I don’t understand. There isn’t anyone offering a better and faster transition to Medicare for all than Bernie. How would you qualifying for Medicare mean you can’t see your doctor anymore? His plan requires doctors to accept patients. They only way they could refuse you as a patient would be if the dr opted out completely and became a cash only dr. Which means they wouldn’t be taking your son or any others who are on private insurance, and the number of doctors going that way will be few.

If you don’t already know about the Medicare compare tool check it out https://www.medicare.gov/blog/shop-compare-plans-now-with-the-new-medicare-plan-finder I hope Bernie’s bill passes. The current system is a pain in the butt for some. My mom has an advantage plan with AARP united healthcare. Her monthly premiums are under $25 a month. (She’s on a pretty basic dental plan tho.) However she really gets great care and there’s very little out of pocket. She had a friend who was paying hundreds a month and it just seemed like highway robbery. I encouraged her to attend those informative community meetings they do, to grill them with questions...and not make any immediate decision, but to wait until she came home to carefully consider and go over which ones would cost her the least for her particular situation.
