  1. I did this as a teenager but I did it marksman style from about ten yards away. It blew up. I suspect that was because the power of the bb had dissipated enough to keep from pushing through the primer. Another cool trick is the put a .22LR in a plastic drinking straw and throw it up in the air in a paved parking lot or road. That's a hoot. .22WMR if you have a McDonald's straw IIRC and you'll get a damn good bang. Think "bang snaps" times a hundred or so.
