  14. They do dog fights here in Miami. I worked as a cocktail waitress at a casino, and one of the girls' husbands was running a dog fighting racket. He was abusive to his wife and sold hard drugs, too. He was one of those guys that you're afraid to leave because he has friends that could make you go missing. One day he got shot in his car at an intersection. I never saw her so happy. The b*st*rd had it coming.

  20. Mostly they're protected by high stakes gang bosses. Those guys know how to hide it, and the money dog fights bring in is in the millions. Many of the people running it are also selling coke or heroin, pimping immigrant women (some underage) or doing shootings. Dog fights are only a crumb of the dirty stuff these people are doing
