Scott Wheeler Not exactly. If you have any knowledge of how A.I. works, you'd see that replacing a job that requires deductive reasoning is impossible. The problem with A.I. (and the reason why many claim we have yet to create real artificial intelligence) is that until we can fully understand the capabilities of the human brain (which we don't), we can't possibly recreate it. For example, if I were to ask you to teach me everything you know about EVERYTHING, you couldn't. You have no real way of knowing the full extent of the data within your own brain. However, to do low level tasks like assembly, food production and service, factory work, GPS navigation (which would require a constant update to traffic information by a human operator), and so on, yes. These can be replaced by robotics with minimal intelligence needed.
This is why it's so funny. These lower jobs do not require complex thinking skills, therefore should not be a goal to aspire to for a lifetime career anyway. If we replace low level work with robotics and A.I., we will raise the standard of our own capabilities. If you want to work for a living, it wouldn't be enough to know how to use a mop and a bucket. You would be required to learn computer coding and repair for the robot that would execute the task of mopping, which would require rudimentary technological background. This is called "progress", my friends, and is going to lead to the very evolution of our species.
