  1. This pretty much sums up my relationship with my sister. ANYTHING good I get, she sees as me intentionally trying to show her up. As a kid I wanted desperately for her to like me. At the same time, I wanted to have good things, too. So I bounce back and forth from trying not to outshine her to get her approval, to getting angry and trying to ignore her meanness and never just feeling happy for me. It's so dizzying and I don't know how to settle this. Guilt whenever I get good things. Sadness if I sabotage those good things to avoid making her mad
