  1. That first story broke my heart. My grandmother was like his mother and tried to alienate 2 generations against him. She tried to make me fear my grandpa like the boogeyman. He was so gentle and soft spoken. He taught me how to open peanut shells and made the best hot chocolate 😢. She tried to erase him by selling his houses below market value. So I bought one. I've been living in the house he repaired with his 2 hands, installed the chandelier and fixed the roof. Hear that, Grandma? I'm here in the house you tried to scam him out of.   4. If parents raised their boys to watch out for parasites like this woman, they couldn't have such a societal foothold. You have to look for the signs when you first date, and that takes a shrewd eye. My husband has a deep disdain for grifters because he had some sneaky cousins who screwed him over. He taught me to see the signs in people that tell you they're secretly looking at you with dollar signs in their eyes. It's hard, but you get the hang of it. I don't get people like that so I tend to be a chump for them. Had plenty relatives and "friends" syphon cash out of me before I learned how to spot it.

  26. Any woman who says we have less rights than men is lying. Legally we are seen as equals though biases exist. However, most of the biases that are against women have been eradicated by civil rights so...They're mostly just playing victim.
