I'm getting really P-------d off hearing people who are not suffering any financial hit telling everybody what a difficult time we are facing, if they don't start sharing out the losses and refunding the country we deserve a bloody revolution. I'm thinking of public sector workers like council officials, TV presenters and the like earning £80k a year and a lot more while others are facing losing everything. It cannot be allowed not to mention illegal migrants on the gravy train.

When the herd is immune either through a cull or a vaccine or can be treated successfully with an anti viral drug or a combination of all three, that will be about 18 months in my estimation. there will be periods of relaxing the lock down when the NHS has sufficient capacity to handle a surge and then further lock downs as required to slow down the spread as the government has stated.

  26.  @grahamwhiting924  All governments are corrupt to a greater or lesser extent it's human nature and cannot be removed only kept to a minimum through democracy, a free press and education. In the current period of globalisation and targeted destruction of the old order of nation states with stable values and national identities this is much more difficult if not impossible which makes globalisation such a popular goal for those with power.

It's starting to look hopeful for the future, patience, determination and avoiding shooting ourselves in the foot with things like appointing Mandelson as head of the WTO and we might eventually have something really good to celebrate.

  48.  @gommechops  It really is difficult to predict but it seems unlikely the EU will continue as it was, it's problems are well known from the EURO's destruction of the economic viability of some countries, immigration, underfunding of NATO and of defence. China has only just started to exert it's strength and ideology on a worldwide basis and a defeat for Trump in November would make it easier for them and really test the mettle of the Johnson government, IMO China pose the biggest threat to our prosperity at the moment but I think they've jumped the gun probably due to Trump and Brexit. I never saw myself becoming a conspiracy theorist but it seems too much of a coincidence the number of self destructive ideas gaining popular support these days, such as BLM, gender neutrality, unconscious bias, destruction of historical reality, undermining police authority and the armed forces, the west seems close to becoming a collection of banana republics in an ideological wasteland.
